Italy's Textile Machinery Exports Rise Ahead of Colombiatex 2026

Italian textile machinery makers will participate in Colombiatex 2026, held in Medellín from January 27–29, 2026, strengthening ties with Colombia’s textile industry.

Despite weak demand in 2024, Italian machinery exports to Colombia jumped 48% to €6 million (~$7 million) in H1 2025, indicating a sharp market recovery.

If this growth trend continues, Italian exports could approach the 2022 peak of €18 million, reaffirming Colombia’s importance as a regional market.

ICE and ACIMIT will organize a national Italian Pavilion in Pabellón Amarillo, featuring 22 Italian exhibitors at the event.

The strong presence highlights Italy’s leading role in technological upgrading of Colombia’s textile and apparel sector.
