India's Gujarat Weavers Push for Production Reduction as Yarn Prices Surge 50%

A recent survey by the Federation of Gujarat Weavers Welfare Association (FOGWWA) shows that 85% of weavers support reducing production due to weak demand and rising yarn prices.  

Around 2,800 responses highlighted a 50% increase in yarn costs and labor challenges.

Several weaving associations in South Gujarat are planning coordinated production cuts to stabilize prices.

Industry leaders believe controlled production may reduce financial losses and improve market stability.
