India Launches TEEM & Tex Eco Initiatives Under Budget 2026

Ministry of Textiles held a February 19 post-Budget 2026 meet at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi on TEEM and Tex Eco rollout.

TEEM will modernise weaving, processing, garmenting, boost MSMEs, investment and jobs.

The Tex Eco Initiative focuses on sustainability, circularity, resource efficiency and green manufacturing to strengthen environmentally responsible textile production.

Rohit Kansal and Neelam Shami Rao said new FTAs improve tariff competitiveness and exports.

The initiative aims to align government, industry and financial institutions to position India as a competitive and sustainable global textile hub.
